Dr Jessica Johnson graduated with a Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine (MVB) in Veterinary Medicine from University College Dublin (UCD), Ireland, in 2011 and went on to complete equine internships in: Dubai Equine Hospital, Troytown Equine Hospital in Ireland, and University College Dublin Veterinary Hospital (UCD VH).
Subsequently, following nine months in private equine practice in Northern Ireland, she returned again to the UCD VH in 2014 where she completed a 3-year residency to become a European Specialist in Large Animal Surgery. Alongside, she completed a Doctorate of Veterinary Medical Specialization (DVMS). Her special areas of research include ultrasound-guided injection techniques in the horse, and pre-surgical disinfection of the equine hoof.
